Abstract
We present a multimode one-dimensional model of nanosecond optical parametric oscillation (OPO) and apply it to the modelling of an experimental doubly-resonant KTP OPO with double-passing of the pump described in Ref. 1. Assuming a single-mode driving pump at frequency ωp0, signal modes are generated at ωs1 <ωs2<ωs3 <… along with the corresponding idler ones at ω1 > ωi2 > ωi3 >… For the first time to our knowledge, we show the effects of cross talk between the different signal-idler pairs generated, creating "pump" at side-frequencies (ωp−1 =ωs1+ωi2 and ωp+1 =ωs2 + ωi1 when considering only the two signal-idler pairs indexed 1 and 2).
