Abstract
MicroChannel free-space optical interconnects (FSOls) can provide parallel and high bandwidth optical interconnects with simple and compact optical systems.1 Various configurations of microchannel interconnects have been studied.2 In order to choose the proper optical configurations, analysis of alignment tolerance has to be investigated. An optical interconnect that is difficult to align will be costly to manufacture and deploy. At the same time good alignment is necessary for maximum efficiency and reliability of an optical interconnect system.
