Distributed feedback quantum cascade lasers

Abstract

Continuously tunable, pulsed single-mode operation of distributed feedback quantum easeade lasers is reported above room temperature within the wavelength range from 5.2 μm to 11.6 μm. Peak optieal powers of 60 mW at 300 K and 5.4 μm are obtained.
