Side-pumped Yb:YAG Rod Laser Performance

Abstract

We report an average output power of >400 W CW from a diode-pumped Yb:YAG laser rod operating at room temperature. The optical-to-optical slope efficiency is 23%, the wallplug efficiency is 7.3%.
