Abstract

The autocorrelation measurement was demonstrated for the first time in the XUV region to observe the pulse width of high-order harmonics by using two-photon ionization of rare gases. The pulse width of 27 fs, which is shortest in the XUV region to our knowledge, was obtained in the initial experiment.
