Frequency-doubled 0.346-μm Nd:YAG laser

Abstract

An efficient, flashlamp-pumped, room-temperature, 0.946-μm Nd:YAG laser was Q-switched using an acousto-optic modulator and frequency-doubled in a tandem set of BBO crystals to produce 3.5 mj with and efficiency of 0.07.
