Abstract
An optical crosspoint switch array combining such features as compactness, scalability, high speed, and low crosstalk level is highly desirable in high speed all-optical networks. Demonstrated devices based on various guided-wave components [1,2] so far appear unable to achieve these qualities simultaneously.
