Multipole resonant light scattering properties of gold nanoshells

Abstract

Metal Nanoshells, spherical dielectric nanoparticles coated with an ultrathin, homogeneous metallic layer, provide a concentric sphere scattering geometry which is ideal for the selective excitation of multipole plasmon resonances in metal nanostructures.
