Abstract

GaAs is a very interesting material for mid IR nonlinear frequency conversion. It has a wide transmission range (1-16 μm), a high thermal conductivity (52 W/m.K) for high power applications and a large second order nonlinear coefficient (d14 = 150 pm/V).
