Superluminal propagation of terahertz pulses in sub-wavelength structures

Abstract

In femtosecond terahertz pulse (T-ray) imaging of metal structures with dimensions on the order of the wavelength, it is observed that the pulses propagate faster than the vacuum speed of light.
