Abstract

Recently, a series of novel ultrashort pulse sources have been developed on the basis of the dispersion-imbalanced fiber loop mirror (DILM However, a detailed theoretical description of the DILM has not been accomplished to date. We believe we present the first results of such a consideration, based on the variational approach.
