Abstract
Many applications, such as industrial process monitoring, environmental sensing, require tunable coherent midinfrared (mid-IR) radiation (2-5 μm) with a narrow spectral width and compactness. This can easily be achieved by difference-frequency generation (DFG) using either diode lasers or diode pumped solid-state lasers.1
