Abstract

The Quantum Cascade technology has shown very fast development towards high power emission, high operating temperature and long wavelength. Recently, peak powers of 700mW have been observed at 30°C at a wavelength of 9.1 μm using a bound-to- continuum structure [1] and continuous wave lasers have been demonstrated on a Peltier Cooler [2], Long wavelength lasers have been demonstrated up to 19μm at 145K and with a maximum output power of 14mW at 10K.
