Abstract
A long period fiber gratings (LPFG’s) are attractive fiber optic devices which have various applications such as gain flattening filters in fiber amplifiers, band rejection filters, mode converters, sensors, etc. The fabrication processes of photoinduced LPFG’s have been well-established but usually require expensive equipments necessary for processes including UV radiation, hydrogen loading and are time-consuming to create the desired index modulation with high accuracy.
