Abstract

Recently we presented first experimental results on chirped pulse stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) in a solid state Raman shifter [Ba(NO3)2] pumped with l.5-mJ, 790-nm uncompressed pulses from a 1-kHz Ti:sapphire regenerative amplifier and subsequent recompression of the 1-st Stokes pulse.1
