Abstract
Stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) in optical fibers, a nonlinear process initiated by spontaneous scattering of the pump wave on occasional hypersound waves caused by thermal noise, demonstrates complicated dynamic behavior1-3 that can be employed in applications.
