Abstract
Polarization measurements are important for a large range of applications such as ellipsometry, bio-imaging, and polarization mode dispersion compensation in optical communications. A commonly used method is to measure the time dependent signal when a beam is transmitted through a rotating quarter waveplate followed by an analyzer. However this method is time consuming, making it unsuitable for real-time polarization measurements.
