Abstract

160 Gbit/s (20 Gbit/s x 8) optical time-division-multiplexing is demonstrated using a multiplexer based on periodically-poled lithium niobate hybrid integrated planar lightwave circuits. Eight 20 Gbit/s signals are independently modulated and time division multiplexed all-optically.
