Synchronization of an Additive Pulse Mode- locked Fiber Laser Using Continuum- controlled Injection Locking

Abstract

Passively mode-locked fiber lasers typically have broader spectra than actively mode-locked ones. However, they are much harder to synchronize with external laser sources. For example, for WDM network applications both, synchronization and a broad spectrum are needed. The all-optical solution presented here is the IL of a potential WDM source to an external laser source.
