Abstract
Many applications require high power, tunable mid-IR (3 ~ 5-μm) laser, however, it is non-trivial to generate mid-IR laser at watts level, especially tunable within 3 ~ 5-μm. In this paper, we couple an intracavity Diffusion Bonded Walkoff Compensated (DBWOC), KTP OPO1 with a Coupled Tandem OPOs (CTOPO) configuration,2 which called as Laser Integrated with a CTOPO (LICTOPO). Not only the second ZGP, OPO is placed within the oscillator of the first, DBWOC KTP OPO, but also the first, DBWOC KTP OPO is placed within the oscillator of a diode-pumped, Nd: YALO laser. Such configuration provides not only compactness compared to other designs [3 ~ 5], but also potential high conversion efficiency from 1 -μm to mid-IR.2 Besides, we have obtained maximum average power of 2.53 W of tunable ZGP OPO with only one arm of DBWOC KTP OPO resonating. At the same time, we have achieved 7.2 W or 2-μm and 33 W of 1-μm laser, simultaneously.
