Abstract

Optical coherent transients (OCT) in inhomogeneously broadened media have been proposed for optical memory and processing devices, such as analog correlators, routers, and true-time delays.1−3 Fully coupled Maxwell-Bloch equations are required to adequately study the problem of coherent pulse propagation and stimulated photon echo processes, especially in optically thick media.
