Abstract
Photorefractive lithium niobate (LiNbO3) and lithium tantalate (LiTaO3) are promising materials for applications like wavelength filters and holographic data storage. Up to now the photorefractive properties of doped LiTaO3 are not examined very well,1,2 because due to its large melting point LiTaO3 is more difficult to grow than LiNbO3.
