A Tunable Injection-seeded Terahertz-wave Parametric Generator Using a Compact, Diode-pumped Nd:YAG Laser

Abstract

We previously demonstrated a widely tunable narrow-linewidth terahertz-wave source that used an injection-seeded terahertz-wave parametric generator (IS-TPG).1 Since the 1S-TPG has wide tunability (0.7-2.4 THz), transform- limited narrow linewidth (< 100 MHz), continuous tunability, and the advantage of room-temperature operation, it is a promising source for practical terahertz-wave applications using a tunahle monochromatic source. However, it is difficult to design a portable terahertz-wave source for a conventional IS-TPG using a tlashlamp- Pumped Nd:YAG laser. In this paper, we report a compact and tunable injection-seeded terahertz- wave parametric generator that uses a diode- Pumped NdtYAG laser.2
