Abstract

The ALISÉ facility is a new power chain constructed in the CEA-CESTA. This laser has been designed to be a small and evolutive laser system in support of the main CEA projects, namely Laser Megajoule. This facility is first devoted to laser science & technology program (damage threshold, smoothing, validation of Miró simulations, femtosecond physics . . . ). In addition, we have planned (FY 2003) to connect to the compression stage a target chamber to reach UHI levels around 1019-1020 W/cm21 for laser-plasma interactions.
