A high-speed Stokesmeter using holographic gratings

Abstract

We show that the Stokes parameters of incident light can be determined through the mathematical analysis of only the intensities of the beams produced by multiple, super-imposed holographic gratings. Experimental verification of the theory of polarization dependence of a thick grating is also presented.
