Compression of extremely short UV/VUV and MIR pulses by Raman-active molecular modulators

Abstract

We theoretically show how high-order stimulated Raman scattering in the impulsive pumpprobe regime can be used for the generation of single UV/VUV and MIR pulses with durations of about 1 fs in VUV and 6 fs in MIR.
