Broadly tunable noncritically phase-matched ZGP OPO with a 2-microjoule pump threshold

Abstract

We report a pulsed singly-resonant OPO based on noncritically phase-matched ZGP with the lowest ever reported threshold of 2 µJ. The pump source was a 1-µm-pumped PPLN OPO. Tuning its output from 2.3 to 3.7 µm resulted in ZGP OPO tuning from 3.7 to 10.2 µm.
