Electro-optic properties of Photoaddressable Polymers

Abstract

The electro-optic properties of side-chain polymers based on azobenzene chromophores, developed for data storage applications, are investigated. Electrically poled films show Pockels coefficients r33 of the order of 50 pm/V at 1550 nm.
