Electro-optic sampling system based on a single-crystal DAST transducer

Abstract

We present an electro-optic sampling system where a single-crystal DAST replaced the conventional LiTaO3 crystal as an electro-optic transducer. Performance improvement of the new system results from the DAST lower dielectric constant and significantly higher electro-optic coefficient.
