90-W ultrastable single-frequency fiber amplifier

Abstract

The amplification of a low noise, single-frequency nonplanar ring oscillator in an ytterbium-doped large-mode-area fiber up to 90 W is reported. Amplitude noise behavior and power scaling limitations due to stimulated Brillouin scattering are discussed.
