Improved mathematical model for scheduling single-hop local WDM networks

Abstract

To utilize WDM technology, packets can be dynamically assigned to different wavelengths. A model of a single-hop network has been developed to evaluate various scheduling techniques. This model accurately predicts the behavior of scheduling algorithms.
