Erbium-doped modelocked fiber laser generating sub-picosecond soliton pulses at 154 GHz rate

Abstract

We generated 800-fs-soliton pulses at 154-GHz-rate with an output power of 13 mW from a fiber laser using higher-order modelocking and intracavity soliton compression. Cavity-length stabilization and wavelength-locking are achieved through novel feedback control schemes.
