Abstract

We demonstrate the first 10Gb/s DWDM transmission at 12.5GHz spacing without polarization division multiplexing or polarization interleaving. This dense channel spacing is accomplished via vestigial sideband filtering and 8×10Gb/s has been transmitted over 100km of SMF-28 without repeaters.
