Dynamic range of traveling-wave multiple-quantum-well electroabsorption modulators

Abstract

A detailed study of the nonlinearity and the spurious free dynamic range (SFDR) of a traveling-wave electroabsorption modulator is presented. A SFDR as high as 128dB-Hz4/5 is achieved at 10 GHz.
