Synchronously-pumped femtosecond optical parametric oscillator based on an improved pumping concept

Abstract

We propose an improved concept of pumping scheme for a synchronously-pumped optical parametric oscillator. The validity of the new concept has been verified with a femtosecond optical parametric oscillator making use of periodically-poled LiNbO3.
