Abstract

The spectral broadening of the 50 femtosecond pulses from the Cr:YAG laser at 1.5 µm in a tapered fiber with 1.4 µm taper waist diameter is observed. The broadening mechanism around the second dispersion zero is studied experimentally and numerically.
