λ-Tripler based on Periodically Poled Lithium Niobate

Abstract

We present experimental results on a λ -Tripler based on Optical Parametric Oscillation and Difference Frequency Generation in a monolithic Periodically Poled Lithium Niobate(PPLN) device. 51% photon-conversion efficiency and 2.6x enhancement in the OPO idler output is demonstrated.
