Polarization mode dispersion measurement with four wave mixing in semiconductor optical amplifier

A new technique for measuring polarization mode dispersion (PMD) using broad-band orthogonal-pump four-wave mixing in semiconductor optical amplifier is demonstrated. It significantly improves the PMD measurement accuracy as compared to the existing similar techniques.
