Abstract

A LiNbO3 microdisk electro-optic modulator that uses a microring RF resonator is presented. For the first time we demonstrate efficient modulation at the second-harmonic frequency (2×νFSR) and also improve sensitivity at the fundamental frequency (νFSR).
