Abstract

Surface acoustic wave-induced birefringence in InGaAs-GaAs multiple quantum wells is studied by solving the exciton equation in momentum space using two-dimensional quadrature method. Enhancement of the SAW induced birefringence by tensile intrinsic strain is explained.
