High-Energy Negative Ions from Femtosecond Laser – Plasma Interaction

Abstract

Beam of high-energy negative ions was observed from expanding plasma produced by the 200 fs, 2×1016 W/cm2 laser pulses. The feasibility of production of MeV negative ions at higher intensities is discussed.
