Generation of photoinduced waveguides using a high repetition rate fiber CPA system

Abstract

We report on the fabrication of waveguides in silicate glasses by ultrafast laser processing using a 2 MHz fiber based CPA system. Writing speeds of up to 100mm/s and a refractive index increase of up to 8×10−3 were achieved.
