Abstract

Cascaded Raman Stokes lasing in a high-Q silica microsphere resonator is demonstrated. With less than 0.9 mW pump power, five cascaded Stokes lasing lines are generated. Stokes lasing lines exhibit distinct characteristics depending on their order.
