Uniform angular distribution of the three dimensional emission modes from the photonic quantum ring lasers

Abstract

We measured the emission spectra from the photonic-quantum-ring lasers and characterized the spectral dependence on emission angles. Unique characteristics of uniform angular distribution of emission modes appear, and the device can be a novel optical angle-sensor.
