Abstract

This work presents the study of a set of Nd3+ doped yttrium and gadolinium orthovanadates crystal fibers, characterizing them as potential diode-pumped laser media. Stimulated emission at 1.06 µm was achieved in an YVO4:Nd3+ fiber.
