Abstract

We present a novel method for fabricating polymer waveguides containing various types of nanocrystals while preserving their active optical properties. This method utilizes a surface functionalization of the nanocrystals. This enables fabrication of new active devices integrating both the nanocrystals functionalities and the polymer waveguiding properties.
