Time-domain analysis of guided propagation on near-field optical antennas

Abstract

A direct observation of the electromagnetic wave propagation on optical antennas is reported. The propagation mode and its effects on apertureless near-field optical microscopy are studied with terahertz time-domain spectroscopy.
