Second harmonic generation by quasi-phase matching in 8 mm-long periodically-twinned quartz

Abstract

We report an 8mm-long periodical twin structure in crystal quartz with 125um period and second harmonic generation with a tunable light source. The twinning process under distributed applied stress will be discussed with finite-element method.
