Detection and analysis of fs-CARS response from bacterial spore marker dipicolinic acid (DPA)

Abstract

Ultrafast coherent anti-Stokes Raman (CARS) emission from multiple, simultaneously-excited Raman lines in DPA was observed. Implications for the use of this technique towards sensitive, specific detection of molecules and bacterial spores will be discussed.
