Abstract

Observation of polarized supernarrow spectral emissions (~0.7nm) near 378 nm with low lasing threshold, ultrafast lifetime, stable and regular longitudinal-modes from highly aligned ZnO nanowhiskers can be well explained by the microcavity laser model.
